Duo BUBU formed in 2023 after Minji left her position as head collaborative pianist at the Yale School of Music to join her husband, Atticus, in Washington, DC for his work in the Air Force Strings. Comprised of members Atticus Mellor-Goldman and Minji Nam, the two met in 2018  at the McDuffie Center for Strings, where Minji worked as a staff pianist, and married in 2021. Performing around the DMV and east coast, Minji and Atticus strive to create an intimate and buoyant atmosphere in their performances, sharing stories that connect with a broader theme in their programs. Since forming, the duo has been invited to perform for the GC Concert Series, Kreeger Museum, and the Emerson Avenue Salon Series, in addition to house concerts around the DMV area and New York.
