Led by Minji Nam and Atticus Mellor-Goldman, BUBU Music Studio was founded in 2023 with one idea in mind: to create an environment where students of all ages can learn, grow, and thrive. With over 30 years of teaching experience, Minji and Atticus prioritize flexibility and adapting to each individual student's specific learning style and their goals. They teach all levels of players, from those just starting out in music all the way to students on the professional music track.
Their curriculum emphasizes a disciplined but holistic approach to learning music, with time allotted for students to learn history, theory, and aural skills, while also organizing music based games and activities to foster a fun and creative atmosphere. Their students have received numerous awards and distinctions in local competitions, including all superior ratings at VMTNA Spring Festival, VBODA Solo and Ensemble festival, and successful auditions for All-State Orchestra, AYPO, Loudoun Symphony Youth Orchestra, and Charlottesville Symphony.
